Privacy Policy

Jet Window ("the app", "we") is a flight-tracking app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account: an email address if you back up your account. You can also use the app with an anonymous, device-only account that has no email.
• Flights you track: the flight numbers, dates, and trip details you add, so we can show status and store your logbook.
• Approximate location: only while you use the Instruments and map features, to show your GPS speed, altitude, and position. Location is used live and is not stored on our servers.
• Notifications: a device push token if you turn on flight alerts, so we can send them.
• Subscription status: whether you hold a First Class subscription, managed through Apple and RevenueCat. We never receive your payment-card details.
• Camera and photos: only when you choose to scan a boarding pass or a loyalty-card barcode, or import a booking screenshot. Scanning happens on your device; a screenshot you import is processed only to read your trip details.
• Motion and barometer: read on your device during the Instruments features to estimate altitude and vertical speed. These readings are used live and are not stored on our servers.
• Travel Wallet: boarding passes and loyalty cards you add are stored only on your device, in the iOS keychain and protected by Face ID. They are not uploaded to our servers.

How we use it

To provide the app's features: track your flights, send the alerts you enable, show live conditions, and keep your logbook. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers and data sources

We use Supabase (account and trip storage), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), and Anthropic (only to process text or a screenshot you choose to import, to generate a flight brief you request, or to put an airport information broadcast into plain English). To show flight and airport information we query public and licensed aviation data services, including FlightAware (AeroAPI) for flight status, position, filed routes and Foresight predicted times, NOAA/NWS aviation weather, the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (aurora), the FAA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection wait-time data, atis.info (airport information broadcasts), Apple Maps (route, ground and light maps), Mapbox (the interactive airport map and its indoor floor plans, and static airport previews), RainViewer (weather radar), planespotters.net (aircraft photos), and Kiwi.com (airline symbols). Sharing with these providers is limited to what a given feature needs (for example, a route or airport code).

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and tracked flights until you delete them. You can delete your entire account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete account; this is immediate and permanent. Anonymous accounts hold data only on your device and are lost if you delete the app.

Children

Jet Window is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices

You can turn location and notifications on or off in iOS Settings, and delete your account in-app. For any privacy request, contact us at [email protected].

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
